Coronary artery disease

See clinically efficient, connected solutions for better health outcomes and positive patient care experiences in cardiology.

A unified solution delivers valuable benefits to your team:

  • Improved care through robust, comprehensive and timely clinical insights.
  • More confidence and assurance of the right diagnosis.
  • Greater ease in completing tasks.
  • Increased certainty in treatment selection.
  • Enhanced capability to treat more patients, complete planned cases in time, and spend more time with your patients.

A range of key capabilities across the CAD pathway:

  • Quick access to tools, images and reporting that support multi-modality diagnosis with ease.
  • Optimal planning and procedure guidance with improved information exchange across the clinical ecosystem.
  • An efficient, customizable user interface that provides faster exams and reduced interactions.
  • Seamless access to images and information anytime, virtually anywhere.
  • Timely advanced analytics and reporting directly accessible by the cath lab and clinical team.

A comprehensive solution for reliable results:

  • Reduced time from the start of the exam to results in hand.
  • Reduced treatment time with integrated systems, devices and informatics.
  • Faster standard transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) exam with an associated 21% reduction in interactions with the system.1
  • Thorough clinical insights with seamless integration of physiology, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and co-registration.
  • Reduction in contrast with the use of the integrated Dynamic Coronary Roadmap.

Cardiology departments need to be future-ready to face profound challenges:

  • Coronary artery disease is twice as prevalent as any other cardiac disease.
  • Departments are struggling to deliver high-quality care for a growing number of patients with complex diseases.
  • Non-invasive diagnostic exams with suboptimal images can result in costly retesting.
  • Difficulty in gaining immediate access to tools, images and reporting for multimodality diagnosis.
  • Pre- and intra-procedure data are not currently meaningfully connected.

Improved CAD care by numbers:

17% reduction in procedure time with Philips Azurion image-guided therapy

St. Antonius Hospital in the Netherlands had goals of improving quality of care, maximizing workflow efficiency and driving satisfaction for staff and patients. Study results revealed that optimizing in-lab patient preparation time, procedure time and post-procedure lab time with Azurion enabled them to treat more patients and achieve greater staff and patient satisfaction.2

85% of users believe that workflow is improved

A study of 33 participants (spread evenly over technologists/nurses and physicians) was performed in December 2016 to evaluate the benefits of the multi-user capabilities of the new interventional hemodynamic (Hemo) system design and user satisfaction. 85% of these users believe that control of Hemo visualizations and adaptation of Hemo measurements using the touch screen module (TSM) help improve workflow.3, 5

34% reduction in major adverse cardiac events

IVUS imaging helps clinicians decide, guide and confirm the right interventional treatment for each patient, and IVUS-guided strategies are backed by various studies. The ADAPT-DES study reported that IVUS guidance was associated with a 34% reduction in major adverse cardiac events (MACE) at 2 years.4

The right care and data – every step of the way

Our solutions seamlessly connect to provide valuable data at key moments, from before diagnosis through recovery after a procedure. Empower improved CAD care through accurate diagnoses that help you move your patients  efficiently along the care pathway.
