Wisp fitting guide

Step 1

Before putting on the mask, disconnect the headgear clips by twisting them away from the frame. Your Wisp may be used with or without headgear clips. If you’re not using clips, pull the tabs through the slot in the mask frame.

Step 2

Pulling the headgear over your head, gently hold the cushion over your nose. If needed, you can make adjustments while sitting up.

The headgear should lie flat against your head.

Step 3

Holding the mask in place, reconnect the clips by pushing them back onto the mask frame.

If you are not using the clips, thread the headgear through the slots on the mask frame.

Step 4

Pull back the tabs to evenly adjust the side and bottom straps. The mask should rest lightly on your nose. Larger headgear is available by request.

Do not over-tighten. The headgear should fit loose and comfortable.

Step 5

Connect the Wisp tubing and elbow swivel to the front of the mask. You may also slide the mask tubing through the headgear crown loop before pulling on the headgear.

Using the headgear crown loop can help make some sleeping positions much more comfortable.

Step 6

Connect the Wisp tubing to the flexible tubing that came with your therapy device.

Some air leaking is normal. Adjust the side headgear straps to reduce leaks around your eyes.

Step 7

Assume different sleeping positions. Move around until you’re comfortable. If there are any excessive air leaks, make final adjustments while lying down.

Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind when using your Wisp sleep apnea mask:

  1. Your Wisp cushion will have a different airflow sensation than your current mask because it’s designed to fit closer to your nose. If you don’t feel like you’re getting enough air, try one of the larger size cushions included with your device.
  2. Do not over-tighten your Wisp sleep apnea mask to create a seal. Loosen the straps to allow the cushion to inflate with air and create a comfortable seal on your face.
  3. Wisp was designed to cover less of your face. The cushion fits around the tip of your nose to deliver therapy.
